Good Next Step LLC (“we,” “us”) runs goodnextstep.com and provides consulting and related services, such as business planning, improving operations and workflows, technology advice, and building websites, online stores, apps, and other digital tools. This policy covers that website and those services. If another website we run has its own privacy policy, that policy applies there. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. We’re based in the United States, and this site is meant for U.S. visitors. If you use it from elsewhere, your information will be handled in the U.S. and wherever our service providers operate.
What we collect
What you give us. Your name, email, phone number, business name, and anything you share through our forms, email, scheduling tools, or calls, such as project details and documents.
Calls. We may record or transcribe a call and take notes. We’ll tell you at the start of the call if we’re recording or transcribing it. If you’d rather we didn’t, tell us and we won’t.
Payments. Our payment processor handles your card or bank details. We don’t store them.
Technical data. Our website host and tools automatically collect things like your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and visit times.
How we use it
To respond to you, schedule and hold calls, prepare proposals, do the work, send invoices and get paid, keep business records, keep the site secure and working, and follow the law. If you contact us or work with us, we may email you about our services. You can ask us to stop at any time, and we will.
Who we share it with
Service providers that help us run the business, such as website hosting, email, scheduling, video meetings, document storage, payments, accounting, and software tools (including AI-assisted tools). They handle information under their own terms and privacy policies.
People you ask us to share it with, and advisers such as an accountant or attorney.
Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
A buyer or successor, if we sell or restructure the business.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
Cookies and tracking
Our website and some of the tools on it (such as scheduling or analytics) may use cookies or similar technologies. Some of these may collect information about your browsing across different websites. You can manage cookies in your browser settings. Our site doesn’t respond to “Do Not Track” signals. Links on our site may lead to other websites, which have their own privacy policies.
We may use advertising tools, such as those from Google and Meta, to measure our ads and to show our ads to people who have visited our site. These companies may collect information about your visit through cookies or similar technologies. You can limit this through your browser settings and the ad settings in your Google and Meta accounts.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure. Please don’t send passwords, financial account numbers, health information, or other highly sensitive information through our contact form, regular email, or on recorded calls. If a project requires something like that, contact us first so we can agree on a safer way to share it.
Your choices
Email hello@goodnextstep.com to ask a privacy question, to ask us to correct or delete your information, or to stop receiving our emails. We’ll review each request and respond as the law requires. We keep information for as long as we reasonably need it for business, tax, and legal purposes.
Children
Our website and services are for businesses and adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. We’ll post the new version here and change the effective date at the top.
